Featuring

Allgood (Reunion)

Allgood, originally called Allgood Music Company, was originally based out of Athens, GA from 1988 – 1995. Through constant touring, the band grew a following throughout the US. Endless gigging, constantly changing set lists and long improvisational jams gave the band their chops. Eight years of touring, four records and thousands of passionate fans later the band decided to call it quits in 1995.

The band reformed briefly in 2006, with three members of the original lineup, and played two sold out shows in Columbus and Athens GA. In July of 2010 Allgood headlined the BRAGG Jam Festival in Macon GA, playing to a capacity crowd at the magnificent Capitol Theater.

Angel Band

From the Santa Monica Pier to Levon's Midnight Ramble and with over two solid years of touring under their belt (since their 2008 release of "With Roots & Wings" and now the 2010 release of "Bless My Sole"), Angel Band has expanded their following ten-fold. No audience has been left unmoved by Angel Band's all out, "take no prisoners" stage demeanor, signature rootsy, bluesy Americana songs, super back-up band and the "dig in" vocals of leader and lyricist Nancy Josephson, Kathleen Weber, and Aly Paige. Performing as opening act and backing singers for Josephson's husband, world-class roots musician David Bromberg at Bonnaroo, Merlefest, the Philadelphia Folk Festival and other high profile events, Angel Band has been stepping out and playing many a prestigious concert venue on their own. This band is winning over many new listeners in their travels (voted one of the top 10 Favorite Bands)

New Sweden

Delaware natives New Sweden march to the theory that "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts." The band's five members, ranging in age from early 20s to 30, combine guitar, bass, organ, banjo, mandolin, viola, percussion and anything else they can get their hands on to form their folk-rock sound. Fans of the Avett Brothers, Bright Eyes and the Low Anthem are sure to enjoy the heartfelt music and meaningful lyrics of this group!

Light Up The Queen partners with Martin Guitar

Where do guitars that are damaged during shipping go? Seven assorted Martin guitars were lucky enough to avoid their uncertain fate after being rescued by an "angel" in search of a new medium for her artistic endeavors.

These one-of-a-kind guitars were built by Martin Guitar, but suffered shipping damage that normally would have resulted in the guitars being destroyed. Angel Band singer Nancy Josephson, however, asked permission to "embellish" one such of the out-of-commission instrument. After completing her incredible bejeweled guitar Josephson enlisted the talents of seven additional artists to create their versions of guitar art.

The result? Seven unique and extraordinary designs that will be auctioned September 9, 2011 at the Light Up the Queen benefit party.

Proceeds of the auction benefit both Light Up the Queen Foundation and Martin Guitar Foundation.
