Jeffrey Spade is the Lower School Administrator for the Rudolf Steiner School in New York City, the first Waldorf School in North America. In addition to his administrative duties, he is also the choral director for grades 4 through 8, a member of the Diversity Task Force, and co-facilitator for monthly SEED (Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) seminars at Steiner. His work in educational diversity spans several decades, and also includes leading workshops and seminars in the New York State Association of Independent Schools, the Baltimore Waldorf School, and the Chicago Waldorf School. He credits his true experience in “walking the talk” to his years of singing with the Chancel Choir at the Church of St.s Andrew and Matthew in Wilmington, DE and the inspiration of the venerable Cannon Lloyd Casson.
